Hi! I’m Jackie Fearn, a self-taught artist living in Worcestershire. I specialise in pet portraits and wildlife art – big cats are an obsession for me!
I work primarily with soft pastels and pastel pencils on velour and pastelmat, but I also use oils and acrylics. Recently I’ve discovered the art of coloured pencils and have started to produce a few portraits using this medium. My aim is to produce realistic, lifelike drawings and paintings with attention to detail a priority – to capture the personality of each individual animal. I work from photographs, my own where possible.
I regularly attend professional workshops, always trying to learn new tips and techniques to bring into my work. In 2014 I completed a Pet Portraits Diploma with the London Art College receiving a ‘Pass with Distinction’ and I exhibit my work locally as often as I can
