About me

Hi, I’m Jackie, a self-taught artist based in Worcestershire in England, specialising in pet portraits and wildlife art. I have painted all my life, mainly animals and wildlife. A pet portrait is a special and deeply personal gift that makes a long lasting memory of a beloved companion.

I work primarily with soft pastels on velour and Pastelmat paper. My aim is to produce realistic, lifelike drawings and paintings, with attention to detail a main priority – to capture the personality of each individual animal.

I regularly attend professional workshops, usually every couple of months, and am always learning new tips and techniques which come through in my work. In 2014 I took a Pet Portraits Diploma with the London Art College and was proud to receive a ‘Pass with Distinction’.   I also exhibit my work locally on a regular basis, check my news feed for info

I take commissions for pet portraits and also wildlife; a particular favourite of mine are big cats! I will keep you up to date with progress throughout, so that you are able to gradually see your painting come to life and also offer feedback during the progress of your painting.

All paintings will be delivered to you in a mount, ready for framing; and can also have prints made for your family and friends in various sizes if you require.

Due to the nature of pastels, the painting will ultimately need to be framed behind glass; I use high quality products, which will not fade over time.

I hope that you enjoy viewing my artwork, please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or would like to discuss further to have your very own pet portrait.
